The original stone cottage was in a tumbled down state. The luxury replacement utilised stone salvaged from the original building and thoughtfully incorporated it into a timber frame construction. Overall using original stone incorporated as cladding along with additional timber cladding and a metal insulated roof gave the end result of a beautiful one-bedroom holiday cottage that is very popular with renters. Inside it features a wood burning stove with large picture windows on one corner and overhead velux windows giving a light and airy aspect whilst still maintaining privacy in its setting. Heating is via an Air source heat pump and the addition of both a landscaped gravel and patio area externally allows a hot tub and parking.
